Home / Our School

Built in 1928, and set within expansive grounds, Middlestown Junior and Infant School is situated at the heart of a rural village colse to the citty of Wakefield.  We pride ourselves on being at the heart of the Community and enjoy good support from all our stakeholders.

The singe building comprises a brand new foundation unit, single-aged classes and a multi-purpose hall.

A warm, family atmosphere is purposefully nurtured throughout the school within a positive learning environment.  All children are encouraged to achieve their potential through a combination of an exciting skill-based curriculum coupled with independent learning and collaborative learning skills.

Middlestown Junior and Infant School has capacity for 210 full-time pupils and 50 early years part time places.  The school is organised into three educational stages:

Foundation Stage which includes lower foundation and upper foundation;

Key Stage One which includes Year 1 and Year 2; and

Key Stage Two which includes Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6.
