Middlestown Primary Academy takes online safety seriously. We love the internet and believe that it is an integral part of the lives of our pupils and parents. Offering the opportunity to learn, communicate and socialise. However, we understand that these opportunities come with unique dangers especially for children. Middlestown Primary Academy believes that internet safety and digital literacy is an important part of the curriculum and as well as covering this in age appropriate lessons we have set up a peer-led programme called ‘Digital Leaders’
Digital Leaders (children from Key stage 2) are assigned to each class as a port-of-call for any online worries or issues that children may have. They also go into classes to discuss important safeguarding matters in child -friendly terms.
